A freind of mine is a big Boro supporter. He mentioned today they were going after Strachan. I thought that would be a stretch for him to take that post. Any thoughts?

rules were made to be broken harold....

talkSPORT had strachan down as 2nd favourite for the boro hotseat tonight...i dont know why he'd swap his home on the south coast for the utter shithole of teeside but you never know with football folk...he moved to glasgow for 3 years so i suppose that teeside might seem like a step up by comparison..

other than that i agree that this thread is about as pointless as boro..

Would be bitterly disappointed to lose KT at this stage. It just does not make any sense...We don't need the money.. we have no suitable replacement at the club. KT on his game is the best midfield player in the country bar Steve Davis.

And we've got them both as long as Rangers stand strong.

When are both of you going to realise Rangers are totally fuck finacially ??

Smith has already stated we will be unable to renew contracts 'next' year for most players unless they drop their wage demands. That includes Miller, McCulloch, Webster(who we've had nothing from so far), Weir(who will be finished, Naismith, Whittaker, Papac and also Thomson !!

We could be well in the grubber. The 5 million budget Smith has will probably all go on wages of current contract renewals and the odd bosman, who had better be a successful choice(s) as we simply cannot afford another Rothen this time around.

Yer wonderful Mr.Murray, 8, has well and truly fucked the club once and for all in the current climate...a cancer that needs cut from the club once and for all !

That's after a full litre of Merrydown with ice !! Believe it, we will soon be in a position to not even compete in this backwater. I only hope we keep what we have, adding possibly one decent signing and a couple of favourable bosmans. I'm fully prepared for the worst and simply hope Walter gets the same reaction this season as previous and we can stay more injury free than last term, because we simply do not have enough of a pool to deal with it in realistic terms...it'll need to see a super human-like effort to sustain success. We have to bleed these youngster we now HAVE to bring through in domestic cup games and see them step up to the plate as the season goes on I see no other way for our future that now seems no more than bleak.
Rangers have rode a rough storm to the detriment of Smith's experience of late and it seems we are every bit worse off as was being portrayed.

Looking at the finances we could be no more successful as a team so why are we so skint ? David Murray is the common denominator here. Him and his pissant buissness gambling antics, the demise of HIS companies and the pillaging of the Rangers as the only profit making section of his decrepit portfolio to keep all he owns afloat.
The bank won't let us get into the position where we cannot pay off our mortgage/loan per annum while syphoning off all substantial profits to the betterment of MIH. That's the bottom line, that is the remit of the likes of Donald Muir and that is why our wage bill has a strangling cap upon it and why we will have to be at the top of our game as a team in all aspects of modern football !

Head out the Sand Loyal.
